My Kind of Weather

Finally, that humidity broke and we have a beautiful day ahead of us with waves and light off shore conditions. I believe the Bunger surf competition is this Saturday, and Byrne Unit, a fan favorite, will be playing this Sunday. Fall will come soon enough folks, hang on to summer as long as you can.
Get some!

Autumn?

No, it’s still summer for sure; however I wanted to give a heads-up to what’s in store for after Labor Day. The GBI will be open straight through to Halloween. But there’s more; there is no daily parking fee after Labor Day (boats too!) And that means that we welcome back all the friends from OUTSIDE of the Town Of Babylon. September and October have the best weather with low humidity and warm ocean temps. Please stay tuned and keep us in your thoughts if you are out and about the beach.

Rainy Days….

“Into each life, a little rain must fall”……so says Longfellow I believe. This rain will clean off the salt and spray and freshen up our fair beach for new footprints and memories whence the sky brightens and sun returns…I’ll have the coffee hot, beer cold and doors open in the a.m.
Be well…….

Greetings from the Gilgo Beach Inn
